Guest guest
This is about the site that the founder of this site, , has suggest we should join. I don't think I can discuss this without stepping on toes, and I am sorry if it hurts, it is not personal, it is just my own preferences. In respect for the founder I would not have brought the topic up here if he hadn't. He did, so here goes. I haven't had much use for other sites because I felt a bit invested in this one and didn't want to see the work diluted by other sites. This one does have some limitations though and I understand others wanting to do better. I also have wished this site was more useful. So, I have been checking out CarePlace. It does have some nice features. For one, it is sort of a Wiki. This means we can edit the pages. I think that would help us. It also give each user a page to tell their story. It is a nice page. It would let people quickly provide newcomers with the stories without having to link them or copy them or rewright them each time. On the site the messages are presented in threads, but messages are still sent out as email also. I like the combination the way it is set up. It is more of a socially oriented place than this one. One of the things I like is that it is dedicated to health care, but not just one condition. This is very good for people that have more than one condition. Your personal page can work for all the care communities you are in. Having all those groups also make it easier to get imformation that is useful to more than one group. Anyway, I could see moving to CarePlace but not if most everyone else is here. As I have said above I don't want to have to duplicate work, so I would rather one or the other wins out. Anyone have any thoughts? notan
Guest guest
Hi, Notan, I will check out CarePlace and get back to this group and you about my reactions to it. I know what you mean about discussing other health issues. I also feel a sense of loyalty to this site because people here have helped me so much. But because I don't mind blathering about, I can see myself typing up stuff for two sites. So, I'll take a look, and, I'm glad you mentioned it. Ah! It's always something, ain't it?! But, for now, Happy Swallowings to All! Deborah
