MOTHER OF GOD!! Where are these doctors coming from. I expecially

liked the quack who told you that 'a million people would die to have

this'

is he insane??

I remember when I was getting prepped for my 2nd c-section and I was

explaining to my surgeon (who was not my regular doc, he was the one

on call) all about my A and drugs and not lying flat for too long,

etc. I said to them, I have Achalasia and he said 'cool'. I

responded, 'yeah, not really'. I mean, what are they thinking? It

just goes to show how much ignorance exists about our condition

because even though I do well day to day - there ain't nothin' cool

about it!!

I'm in the states so I can't recommend anywhere else to go but I

would find another doctor. Astrids German doctor sounded very nice

and also competant!!

I don't know what your rules are over there with crossing country

borders to get treatment. Hell, over here I can't even go an hour and

a half away to see my last GI anymore because I have insurance in

another state now and they won't cover me out of state.

Good luck to you and keep us posted here. If nothing else, we DO

understand.
