Guest guest
Hey - I'm so sorry - for some reason I thought you were in France so recommending the German doctor - not so practical!! WE do have some members down under though. Does anyone have direct contact info for or Kim in N.Z.? You may also want to go through back posts to see if you can find them. They may be able to recommend a local doctor that is more experienced with E. If I remember correctly, had a really good doc but I don't remember his name or where exactly he was located. Anyone else remeber? Sometimes just finding the right doc can make all the difference. I might be so bold as to recommend you get referred to someone else before you have that 37th dilation (ugh!!). Good luck to you and keep smiling! Happy Swallowing! - in NC USA
Guest guest
G'day ! I'm an Aussie living in Germany. I have to agree that you do need to get a second opinion. Why not get in contact with Mal Gibson who lives in Canberra? He had a myotomy done a few months ago and before he went in for surgery did quite a bit of research into choosing the best surgeon (and someone not too far away, I guess, given the distances in Australia!) You will find Mal Gibson's email address when you search for his posts. I am not in tune with doctors and surgeons in Australia; my Achalasia was diagnosed here in Germany. I am sure you will get some good advice from other Aussies who know the situation there. Let us know how you get on! Greetings across the miles!
