Guest guest
Wishing you all a healthier new year, just a question I had my myotomy without wrap 19th oct 2006 and had a endoscopy 22 dec, due to continued problems with regurgitation and spasms, following this my consultantant said that the les was open and no sign of food backing up as previously found or any acid reflux, however, that above the les the rest of the esophagus is in spasm and she thinks that my problem the last 8 years has been Diffuse esophageal spasms and that my achalasia was caused by this and is secondary achalasia. She also said she felt that the barium swallow that i am having 23rd jan will confirm this and we will be able to discuss the options open to me. As i was recovering from the sedation i did not press for options, but am at a loss what to ask regarding this or what these options may be, any help would be appreciated. During the xmas period watching my two lads tuck in, my thoughts turned to the children on this site and who have yet to find us, james, tia & cameron to name a few and how brave and strong they are, i hope james recovered enough to have some enjoyment this christmas.
