Guest guest
Hi Tonia, , Kim, Rag, Francine and all our other support buddies, Thanks for the great advice regarding my SOS on Christmas Eve. Things mellowed out for Tia and she didn't get any worse. She didn't feel well that night or the next day but it was bearable. No vomitting. I definitely was ready to call the doctor if she would have gotten any worse. We did have some tears Christmas eve. Tia felt well enough to eat dinner. She was so excited to eat tacos. I have some really cute pictures that I hope to forward on to all of you (waiting for my brother to e-mail them to me... could be a long wait). However, she wasn't able to eat the taco. This is the first food that she has found that she can not swallow. I'm not surprised. My mom fries the corn tortilla and they are very hard and crunchy. Even though Tia took little bites she felt like they were getting stuck. This is the first time since surgery that she has had that sensation. It was a combination of fear, not feeling well and disappointment. She had a good cry and then was OK. We went right to opening presents after dinner so she was distracted by her presents. I guess compared to what we have been through lately this situation was nothing but a small annoyance. But I guess it is much easier for us adults to understand as opposed to a 9 year old child. Ok, gotta run. Hope everyone is relaxing now that the busy season is starting to wind down. I'm really looking forward to 2007, 2006 wasn't all that great!!! Happy New Year Everyone! and Tia __________________________________________________
