Congratulations to Stephi! This is wonderful news and

I am so proud of you for this achievement. I agree with

Mom it probably was your attitude. That can make a

world of difference in a person and the way we are

perceived .

You have every right to be proud.

Big Hugs,

Congratulations Stephi, It is so unfortunate that anyone has achalasia but especially kids! I'm so happy for you that you were awarded your badge. You deserve it! Your mom is very proud of you as are many others. Way to go. Take care, and Tiasue_woollett <sue.ol@...> wrote: We got home from school/work last night to find a letter for Stephi(10yo) from the Blue team, enclosing a Blue badge and aletter. Why's this relevant to this

Because she wrote to Blue about achalasia, the operation she hadlast year, how it went wrong and how she dealt with the aftermath, practised her violin and passed her Grade 1 exam shortly afterwardsand is currently working hard in violin, piano, etc.I think the bit that probably swung it for her was her positive attitude:"which shows that you can do something even if you're unwell!!" and "My swallowing is still painful but it's better!!"She is sooooo thrilled. It took months for them to consider herapplication and send her this and she had given up hope, havingchecked her email daily for weeks.(For those of you not familiar with Blue it's a popularchildren's programme that has been running since forever. Subject: Blue Badge - one for the Brits, probably

We got home from school/work last night to find

a letter for Stephi

(10yo) from the Blue team, enclosing a Blue badge and a

letter.

Why's this relevant to this list?

Because she wrote to Blue about achalasia, the operation she had

last year, how it went wrong and how she dealt with the aftermath,

practised her violin and passed her Grade 1 exam shortly afterwards

and is currently working hard in violin, piano, etc.

I think the bit that probably swung it for her was her positive attitude:

" which shows that you can do something even if you're unwell!! " and

"

My swallowing is still painful but it's better!! "

She is sooooo thrilled. It took months for them to consider her

application and send her this and she had given up hope, having

checked her email daily for weeks.

(For those of you not familiar with Blue it's a popular

children's programme that has been running since forever. The badge

is highly coveted. More info:
