Your symptoms could be from any number of things, just one of them being Achalasia. If your problems are narrowed down to coming from the esophagus, I agree with that you should see a top doctor or go to a university medical center for proper diagnosis (and the members of the group may be able to recommend someone or someplace near you). My husband has an esophagus motility problem (not Achalasia, but a different one). We found that the esophagus tests done at our local hospital didn't provide a conclusive diagnosis, like the ones he had done later at a university hospital.
