Guest guest
I am surprised nobody from the group is jumping all over the mumps outbreak in Iowa and the fact that most of the people hard hit by this epidemic are vaccinated. Guest guest
I saw my doctor today, and boy was I suprised. He said I didn't need surgery, that my esophagus was in good shape. As long as I can swallow and the esophagus doesn't swell [which it hasn't] leave it alone. I said that surgery was sure to come and he said not necessarily. So maybe I have a milder case than I thought. He told me not to let it get out of control, but see him before I am completely blockd off. I told him that I had learned my lesson, and I have, believe me.
Guest guest
Dear , Just read this post after I had sent the last one. What great news for you to get. Maybe you are going to be one of the luckier ones. I think that if you have got to your age without serious problems, the chances are that you will never get any worse now. That is just speculation of course, and you must take care of yourself, but it is definitely sounding good for you. Guest guest
: Which doctor was is that you saw that told you that you did not need any surgery, and which tests were performed that he evaluated that brought him to that conclusion? Guest guest
Good question. It was the doctor who gave me the botox and who has monitored my esophagus. He says that my esophagus does not require surgery as long as I can swallow. What happened was that I went over two years. Then I plugged up and attempted to solved the problem by forcing fluids down which caused me to vomit instead. It [i thing] was at that point that I became ill. Prior to that time I had a run of over a year without anything other than a minor cold. When I talked to the GI doctor I hadn't had the xray yet. After I see my internist, I will talk to the GI doctor again. The bug that gives me the most trouble is hemonophylus [sp ?]. I hear that I can get a vacinnation against this. How is Pippi? Guest guest
Course you are . (Discreet cough) But everything is relative. And considering we have members who are only recently into long trousers, you (and I) are relatively "mature". I am sorry to hear about the aspiration pneumonia. That is not good. Have you been given some treatment for that? I am sure that you already know this, but just in case you don't, the best ways of preventing this in the future are not eating late in the evening and using a minimum of 2 pillows, in an attempt to stop any food migrating into the lungs. While you are still young (another cough) and healthy, it is something your body will be able to recover from, but as you age, it could become difficult. Guest guest
It will probably kill me some day. I have made peace with that, but I am sure going to put one big fight before that happens. This site has really encouraged me. Guest guest
Bekka, I know I was shocked since I've spilled a little FO on that same dryer. Good thought to ask the supplier what it is cut with. Will do.
