Guest guest Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 Hello I think that this topic may have been brought up before but I dont remember reading the posts (if that makes sense). Any how I was diagnosed with achalasia in December 2004, had my operation May 2005, which was successful. From February of this year until now i have experienced four seperate episodes of diarrhoea kind of like getting gastro. I had a colonoscopy after the 3rd episode and everything looked clear. I have been well for the last 3-4 months and had another episode last week. I am not sure if it is coincidence and I keep catching the gastro bug (although no other member of the family had it) or could it be linked somehow to achalasia, is something else going wrong. Just wanted to know thoughts and opinions as I dont know where to go from here or should I just wait to see if it happens again. Anybody else have this problem?
