Guest guest
I had a Heller myotomy 10 years ago and it has been really good. But I still get esophagial spasms, especially when I sleep on my side. I rarely get them during the day. I find if I drink cold water or something fizzy like club soda alot of the time they go away. But sometimes they are bad. I have a prescription for Levsin, but when I take it the whole next day I feel wiped out. I have tried niphedipen, too. Has anyone used a muscle relaxer like valium ? When I was having surgery ( not for achalasia) I had a spasm and couldn't drink anything and was given valium and the spasm went away. I am interested in what others do for spasms. Would appreciate any info. Thanks, Amy
