Guest guest
When I first was diagnosed a couple months ago, my mom went on the internet and researched everything she possibly could. She thinks she gave me bad organs or something. Anyway, she found the peppermint thing and some others. One thing she found was about sweet potatoes. She wanted me to go buy baby food sweet potatoes and try them. I didn't. The other night, we went to the Golden Corral (a buffet) as it is cheap to feed kids there. They have sweet potatoes on the buffet, and I had one with my dinner. I was able to eat two plates of food, with just my cold drink choking me up a bit. A few days later, we were having dinner with my neighbor, and she made yams. Again, I put some on my plate, and had no problem getting my dinner down. The big thing is that most of it stayed down even after a couple of hours. I was looking up sweet potatoes just now on the internet, and a chinese medicine site said they have value because of their high fiber content. I have been wondering about this for a while. Does anyone else feel like they have a lack of fiber in their diet due to the A, and did you have a lack of fiber before the A symptoms became terrible? The reason I ask this, is that when the lower part of my digestive system is working properly, I have an easier time getting my esophagus to relax. At least it seems that way, it could all be in my head. Now that I am done rambling, my basic question is if anyone else has heard the sweet potato thing as I can't find anything to relate it directly to A? Guest guest
I have been taking trying to get 35 milligrams of fiber in my diet lately...the recommended dose for people with digestive problems. I also am taking food enzymes before meals and I am taking a natural sleeping herb at night. Also, I have put a pillow under my mattress to raise the bed a bit and I am doing deep breathing sessions through the day & night and my syptoms have lessened. Also, that bellydancing move seems to be loosening up my stricture in my esophagus. I am trying a variety of things and hopefully, some of these things will help others. le.opsmum77 <coopsmum77@...> wrote: When I first was diagnosed a couple months ago, my mom went on the internet and researched everything she possibly could.
