Guest guest
Hi all, I'm back needing advice. Two years ago, I started having symptoms we're all familiar with. Food getting stuck in the throat, waking up choking at night, etc... In December 2004, I had an amazingly successful Heller's in Kansas City. I was back at 99% - only had a problem if I gulped really cold liquid too fast. Well, here I am 18 months later, experiencing some of the same symptoms I had two years ago. So far, it's just the stuck food feeling. It's already gone from an occasional 'stick' to a few 'sticks' per meal. My questions: 1) What are my treatment options after a heller's? 2) Should I do something sooner rather than later? I was really hoping to be one of the lucky ones where the surgery fixed the problem for many many years. With the way I was feeling after the surgery, able to eat anything without any problem, I was thinking I was one of those lucky ones. Now I know that's not the case. I've also moved from Kansas to South Carolina. I'm going to have to look for a new doctor. Although, if I can't find one here, I'm willing to fly back to Dr. Moncure for treatment if necessary... Any advice you can give is very welcome. Kim in SC (was Kim in KS)
