Guest guest
Hello everyone!I pop in every now and again when I have time and read the post but just stay so busy.I have a question for you all. After 's surgery, for those who may not remember , he is my son that at age 12 had the myotomy and fundo in Dec, was still have problems getting the food to go down.We went back done more test to see if there was a problem, scarring, blockage etc... everything was said to be fine but we were told 's E just had no normal mobility anymore. It just kinda goes every which way and not pushing down from the top to the bottom like a normal E should. Heres my question. If your E has no mobility, what symptoms or problems does it cause you? is able to eat WHATEVER he wants but he still has to make himself burp and push big gulps of air into his E to push the food down.It doesnt go down with water alone. We discussed this with the Dr and was told because of the mobilty of the E that that may just be what he has to do because of the situation of the esophagus. and my husband and myself has been blessed that is able to eat whatever he wants after the surgery. But I am really starting to get bothered by this. This problem he didnt have until AFTER THE SURGERY!!!!I also explained this to the DR. says its fine and hes use to it and does not want to go back in for no surgery becuase he is happy(according to him) with being able to eat and doesnt want to go through nothing and make it worse and start up the bad spasms again. Ijust hate the fact he has to " work " so hard to get food to still go down.I hate the fact he has to burp and make all that noise trying to get it to go down. What is he gonna do when he starts getting into serious dating and going out to eat?Burp and carrying on at the table?? Ijust cant imagine him having to do this.Iknow its worse things than this for people who suffer with A and alot of people would love to only have this problem but it just breaks my herat with him being a kid and having to go through this.He still gets kinda hesitant to g out to eat and I know its cause of how he has to get the food to go down. Anyway-sory to bend yall ear, just wanna see if anyone has this problem and what your opinion is.I think I posted about this early on but didnt get much of a response. So many new people im hoping someone can help. Thanks so much,Hope all is doing well, Tonia
