hi, guys, I have been doing ok lately. I wonder any of you have this wired feeling. I did some research. it says it is a symptom of having achalasia. however, I did not notice anyone mentioned here. Thank you. Quincia

Quincia, do you have this feeling there all the time? I do get that feeling every so often but it normally does not stay. When I do get it I normally get spasms and my throat starts to make noises again. With me is seems to be more part of the spasm part of the disease.

I would not worry to much about cancer. For something like that to grow that fast I think you would be having other issues other than just a sore throat, but then I am not a doctor either so. You did have surgery not long ago right? You might want to try and think back at what you have ate right before this feeling started and there might be something that triggered it. Your not eating steak bones are you??? lol Just kidding. You might be coming down with a sore throat due to a bug or something too.

By what you are saying it sounds like things are progressing to the point where you might need another dilation or even surgery. I would vote for the later myself. As for what you are saying about the reflux, I would have to think it is not that but a spasm due to the LES not relaxing. That is one main part of the disease. This chances that it is reflux in really low. I would get in contact with your doctor and talk about more treatment for you. I know what you are saying about eating healthier and I think all of us go through that stage to try and figure out what is going on. Have you looked at www.achalasia.us? If not go take a look there.

Hi, ,

Ever since I have A, I eat healthier food, no hot or spicy. I had a

couple of spasms a few days ago. I did not have good night sleep for

a couple days. I did drink Maalox since I am not sure whether it is

spasm or acid reflux. Well we should not have acid reflux. I did not

have any operation done in the past except two upper GI endoscopes

and one botox but it was like 6 months ago. I don't drink and smoke

and I am only 28. I hope it is just A getting on my nerve.

I will keep you updated.

Dear Quincia, My best guess with this would be that something has irritated your throat recently. It is easy to do this by eating something scratchy or sharp. You probably recognise this sort of discomfort from the aftermath of an endoscopy for instance. What I would recommend is that you eat a spoonful of good quality honey 3 or 4 times a day, and particularly the last thing that goes down your throat before you sleep. This will heal and soothe the irritation. See how it goes for 3 or 4 days. If you have just been checked, the chances of a tumour have to be minimal. Love to you, from Ann in England XXXqqqqqq_94118 <qqqqqq_94118@...> wrote: hi, , Thank you for replying me. Robyn dear,

How about making all of us feel better about you by telling us something that you don't have. (I hope the answer is not "a sense of humor"). GERD, Achalasia, Globus, Hiatal Hernia. Between my wife and myself we have those covered, but for one person, way too much.

Thanks for posting about Globus. I'm sure Quincia appreciates the information as well as I do for your sharing it with us. Have a great weekend!

Quinica:

Might this be an allergy -- you mentioned itchy and sore, sometimes my esophagus

swells

because of allergy, sometimes because I have irritation from food being left in

LOL, yeah some times that would be easier.. I have chronic Lyme Disease for the last 15 yrs and from that my digestive diagnosis's are : GERD, Hiatal Hernia, Gastritis,Duodenitis, Esophagitis and possible Achalasia....I have other dx's like Fibro, and chronic fatigue syndrome etc... But it would be too much too list. Sometimes I don't believe it myself but after so many years you just learn to let it go in one ear and out the other... Like my Tags? Join my group! hi, I went to see my family doctor. he did not find anything special.

I do have a little fever with me. he believe I just have common cold.

he prescribed me some cold/flu medicine and Maalox in case acid

reflux or any kind of acid in my E. I am feeling less pain and just

tired.

Get some rest Quinicia and I think Ann's advice about honey, maybe with some

green tea

and hot water, is a good and soothing idea.

Get well.

Hi,

I cannot tell you what it is and where it comes from, but I also have

it from time to time. In my case it disappears after 2-3 days from

alone. However if it stays longer I would go to see a doctor, just in

case.

As I wrote, I don't know what it is, but I don't think it is a soar

throat, because it is located at a small spot, wher the Adam's apple is.

Is there maybe something else like the entrance to the windpipe? Then

it's maybe caused by would that goes the wrong direction.

throat recently. It is easy to do this by eating something scratchy or

sharp. You probably recognise this sort of discomfort from the

aftermath of an endoscopy for instance.

> What I would recommend is that you eat a spoonful of good quality

honey 3 or 4 times a day, and particularly the last thing that goes

down your throat before you sleep. This will heal and soothe the

irritation. See how it goes for 3 or 4 days. If you have just been

checked, the chances of a tumour have to be minimal.

hi, all,

I am doing ok now. The strange feeling is gone now. I believe I was

having a cold or flu. I am doing fine now.

Thank you so much for all your care and reply.

Dear Quincia, Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I know that you were fearful of your symptoms. I also know that if you do not have peace of mind, you have nothing. I hope this is the start of a more peaceful time for you. Love from Ann XXXqqqqqq_94118 <qqqqqq_94118@...> wrote: hi, all, I am doing ok now. The strange
