It makes me feel a lot better that people out there are doing what they can to rid themselves of this rare and unfortunate esophageal motility disorder called achalasia. For me, i had almost every known treatment to cure my achalasia and GERD in a 10 year span, unfortunately none have worked and all my doctor(s) have recommended me to get an esophagectomy because of my recurrent symptoms of achalasia and GERD. Hopefully, I'll finally be cured of this disease and now I can finally live a full life. Good luck, I've has treatment-resistant achalasia for 27 years. The

only options are a colonic interposition or medicinal treatment.

Obviously the risks of extrication the esophagus/les and replacing

them with a piece of small intestine orcolon with its blood supply

with an incision from the back of the nect to the groin are much

greater than any benefits. Have any of you actually looked at the

inner anaytomy of the neck, with all its vascular, neurological and

muscular systems?

And the invasiveness would surely bring on some type of an infection.
