Patty Time To Sing CD can be found at: http://www.apraxia-kids.org/resources/timetosing.html It contains 27 popular children's songs ( at a slower pace) the price is $16.99 and all the proceeds from the CD benefit the Center for Creative Play in Pittsburg. The center is for children with speech and language needs.
Guest guest
It is a great CD, she likes to sing with it. I'm the one who gets bored hearing it! If you gave her a choice she would go with more upbeat/rocky stuff (she loves Hey Baby, by NoDoubt) but if I don't give her a choice and just start playing Time To Sing she will sing along and in the couple of months we have had the CD has learned about half the songs and sings them well enough that I know what she is singing. (her words aren't that great, but she does well with the tune) She loves to sing, and THANKFULLY the private " normal " preschool we have her in is allowing her to participate with the rest of the classes in the Spring Musical even though she isn't understandable, but like I said, she does have the tunes/melody down and she also has the motions down that they will be doing during the program. They have been so good all year to totally include her in EVERYTHING. Guest guest
I found it on www.pittsburghsymphony.org/time2sing.html. It's $16.99. I'm going to get it for my son. Thanks for alerting me to what I hope is a good addition to items I'm amassing to help my son learn to talk. He has begun " parroting " but as yet doesn't use words to communicate very much. He has a PDD_NOS diagnosis, not apraxia, but I figure anything is worth a shot if it gets him out of his silent world. Tracey
