Guest guest
Hi Everyone-- Over the last few days, I've been posting about my aunt's liver cancer and my mom's breast cancer--both situations have made me decide to put off the Toupet fundoplication surgery I had planned for this summer. But I went ahead and had the pre-surgery endoscopy today anyway. Having had A for 27 years, I've gone through this process lots of times. Today, though, as I came out of the sedation, I was told that it looked like I had Barrett's. I have to wait until Tuesday to find out for sure. I've read a lot about Barrett's over the years, so I think I know what this is. Guess I would need to think about getting the wrap surgery done sooner rather than later. There was some talk today once again about removing my esophagus altogether. ly, I pretty sick of this blankety-blank organ, as I bet we all are! But I know this type of surgery is a pretty big deal. I'm guessing that some of you on this board have experience along these lines. Advice welcome! P.S. Deborah at the Beach--So glad to hear from you!! Thanks for checking in.
