Guest guest
My surgeon told me something similar...he said that there were key "milestones" after surgery. I can't remember specifically what they were, but he said that after 18 months, there would probably be some sort of gradual decline in effectiveness of the surgery. But it would also plateau and be very gradual. He said that I would probably never go back to being as bad as I was before the surgery, which is good since I was pretty bad off. So 60% might be accurate, but how much worse does it get? It is almost 2 years and I can still eat anything. I do have to have soda for "heavier" meals to coax things down and I do have to drink with anything, but I can still sleep without having to sit up! My spasms are much, much better and, as of last night, I have gained 40 lbs! Obviously time for a diet, but I just hate the thought! LOL.
