Hi everyone,Sorry for the OT qustion but something very important to Stephi! We are going to be in California (Oxnard/Ventura) over Easter and sheowuld like to know if chocolate eggs are as commonplace there as theyare here. If not, I fear we will be bringing a couple over in a suitcase(particularly her favourite Green & Black's dark choc and a Cadbury'sCreme Egg one). Her operation has not been entirely successful but her ocndition ismuch better - no running to the bathroom every meal. If asked, she'llgive her swallowing score comparing before and after as raised byabout 3 or 4 points although the before and after scores vary - out often it'll be 2-5 or 3-7 or 5-8.SueMum to Stephi, 9yoNottingham, UK

Easter Eggs are not readily available in the state. If you can find them, they will be in a British shop. We do have Cadbury Creme Eggs, but not in the Easter Eggs themselves. We have a spin off company Hersheys that does other treats....Not near as great as Cadbury's....

Chocolate eggs abound in Ventura County -- Cadbury and many others -- milk,

dark, big

small, solid, hollow -- never fear!

I just checked online and even Cadbury is available in our grocery stores. Godiva and all others brands are knee high at this time of year. She will probably be like my kids and not believe you unless she sees it for herself.

Hersheys makes a bunch of different kinds and there are probably Sees Candy stores in the Ventura area I'd assume, they are a So Cal favorite. They are really good, although for the most part a carmel/chocolate mixture from plain 'ol Hershey is good enough for me. I'm obsessing on this because chocolate triggers migraines and I've totally taken it out of my diet and haven't had to take a migraine pill or even tiny piece of one for a couple of weeks. With chocolate even just a little in a mocha, I'd need a pill in an hour or so.

Promise her, I said also she will have plenty of choices here and I have an 8.5 yr old daughter and know how determined they can be.

Thanks for all the replies.

Stephi says she is determined - and very happy to hear choc eggs are

available. And also that children cannot survive without sweets or

chocolate - it is 'absolutely, technically impossible' LOL! She

doesn't even eat many of them :)

She's interested in meeting up with people if that's a possiblity

whilst we're over.

-Cadbury Rocks!

I would have had even less weight before surgery if it wasn't for

good old Australian Cadbury chocolate.

We've arrived - in very wet Oxnard, CA. Staying at the Embassy Suites

Manadalay Beach.

Haven't found any of those Easter Eggs yet :)

Slowly getting over the jetlag and Stephi managed to get in the spa

pool already - in spite of the rain! And today we did a lovely walk

along the beach <happy sigh>
