Guest guest
, I might be totally wrong on this and you ARE the scientist, but I always thought that Proton Pump Inhibitors kept acid from being put into the stomach in the first place...well, that they inhibited it. I do know that Reglan, a different type of drug, is supposed to speed up the process of food moving through the stomach. Just wondering if I've been misinformed. I have no idea why the Prilosec helped you. Maybe the placebo effect? Just a thought. I was mis-diagnosed with reflux as well and put on Aciphex for a couple of years and of course, it was spasms. It helped a bit at first, but that may actually have been reflux due to the fact that I was largely pregnant at the time. I doubt that was your situation! LOL.
