Guest guest
H, Deborah. Things to think about and foods I dont remember why they are doing a VATS on you, but be prepared for the longest recovery time.. Just in Case and so you dont have to go anywhere I would think he would start you easy on liquids and softs. Soft boiled eggs, cottage cheese, smushed pasta dishes, boullion (for those days when you are cold and want something, including saltines) gogurt, frozen or not, regular yogurt, mashed potatoes was mentions... dont forget the gravy!!! Good Clam chowder.. (we had to pick out the clams, cameron couldnt have them, yet) pudding? instant breakfast, those days when you just dont feel like it... Ask for the diet ahead of time.. call the office and have them fax it. Be sure to have the other things you may need.for one month... The silly things. (Take into consideration your ribs may be sore) Toilet paper, wipes, feminine stuff. Good foods to take you throught his diet, (we had a juicer) A seat in the shower or bath if you need it, lots of socks and soft clothes, no bra or a sleep bra, lots of movies, that wont make you laugh too hard, a good book that you have been trying to find the time to read, chocolate!, and fluffy pillows. I am sure everyone else will have a million gazillion more suggestions Carolyn Wooleeacre Productions Custom Screenprinting on a small scale! Guest guest
What do you mean by the longest recovery time? The VATS recovery is very similar to the lap recovery time. Don't scare her. VATS is video assisted minimally invasive surgery, just like a lap. Will be MUCH less recovery than the open procedure Cameron had. Are you confused with the open surgery. The difference between lap and VATS is that VATS goes through the ribs, higher cut up the esophagus, less cut into the stomach and no wrap.Sandy in So Cal.... setting the record straight so Deborah doesn't get scared.>> H, Deborah.> Things to think about and foods> I dont remember why they are doing a VATS on you, but be prepared for the longest recovery time.. Guest guest
I mean to say some folks were out driving in 3 days and some not for 2 weeks.. so given that she says she is a hermit... plan for hermitization... I am sure the cameras on the beach would love a shot of her in her jammies going to the corner store for a 50/50 popsicle...but... is Hollywood read for that? : ) toomuchclutter <sandycarroll@...> wrote: What do you mean by the longest recovery time?
