update after appointment today

I first want to say Thank you so much for all the people here who

sent well wishes,prayers,thoughts, for to do well.It must have

worked!!!

I talked to the nurse yesterday and told her all the foods JAmes has

been eating and how well its been going down with only VERY MINIMAL

problems.She spoke with the Dr and he said he may not need the

dialation if he was doing that well but wanted to see him anyway and

take a look inside just to make sure the scar tissue was not there

and see how things look.

Well he went down and said it couldnt believe how well it looked.No

swelling,no scar tissue no nothing!!!! He was really very pleased

with how well all looked and how fast hes recovering. He blew some

air inside the esophagus when he went down with the scope and the

air opened it up he said.That was great it done that he said.Kinda

unsure about what all that meant- hubby said he would explain later

to me and hes not here at the moment so maybe you fellow achalasians

know what Im talking about.

Anyway, with that being said he wants him back in a month and told

him to eat as he could and continue to gain weight.We are so pleased

he is better and didnt need this dialation after all.

nice that people care " he said.
