Guest guest
Oh I’ll be ok, I’m just worried about eating to high of calorie stuff and messing with me teeth again. I haven’t started choking at night again, but I do know stuff is staying there!! I will feel it, or of a back wash feeling when I lay down. Sorry he is not doing so well, hopefully he gets some good treatment from Dr. Rice. My husband's DES is pretty severe, that's why they are recommending surgery. Surgery would be higher up on the E, called a long myotomy. He gets symptoms very similar to A: Severe spasms, trouble swallowing solids and liquids at times, spitting up foam, weight loss, etc., so we can still relate to what many people here go through. I think sometimes the body or middle of the E spasms so hard it closes off, so like with A, he can't get anything down for several hours. I hope that answers your questions. I'm sorry you have to wait until May for your appointment at CCF! I hope you're feeling well enough to wait that long. Guest guest
HI all, ? I have had 3 myotomy surgeries, I ended up in the ER 2 days ago because I was having really bad spasms. Nitro quick didn't work nor did my ativan. OUCH. I seem to keep getting these more intense and frequestly. Doesn't anyone talke a calcium blocker when they have a spasm. I was told by a lady I know at church that she takes some kind of calcium blocker but never did ask her which one. Does anyone else suffer from if not daily spasms, then weekly? I have tried, warm drink, cold drink, etc. nothing. Blessings, Ann in Tx. -- DES for , DES is short for Diffuse Esophageal Spasm, another esophagus motility problem. Guest guest
Ann I use to take a calcium blocker, procardia I believe. I don’t take it much anymore tho, just deal with the few that I’ve had lately. I had some side effects from it that I didn’t like, so I stopped! Guest guest
HUM,so what side effects were you experiencing. They must have been worse then the spasms themselves. Guest guest
I had kind of a bad reaction to it and it made my heart rate and had to go in to the ER and have it slowed down!! That was my biggest problem with it! From: achalasia [mailto:achalasia ] On Behalf Of jaholliday5@...
