Guest guest
Hi Everyone - wow, I don't check in for just a weekend and I'm behind on 50 messages!! We are getting so big that it's getting hard to keep up. Hey - interesting on the Cola thing. You don't have any trouble with caffeine? That's one of the first things I had to give up. Also - just a thought on the cola syrup/diet coke thing - is it maybe the carbonation in the diet coke that works well for you? I know that many years ago, I used to keep the small bottles of ginger ale on hand for spasms but over time, I've lost my tolerance for carbonation and don't drink soda anymore. Good luck and keep us posted. , I never had a problem with the foamies but before my surgery I used to get undigested food out of my nose at night and of course there's always saliva and mucus and everything mixed in with it. Maybe that's what it is. If so, that should get better for you after surgery. I still aspirate occassionally but not usually through the nose anymore. - I've not had an e-gectomy but like , I have suffered with some mild dumping syndrome since my gall bladder was out. It was after every meal at first (hoping to make the bathroom in time) to now just an occasional thing that I don't worry about too much. I just kind of attributed it to my body needing time to adjust to the changes. There are some foods (dairy and greasy foods) that seem to be worse than others. I will tell you that I would take this over the attacks any day!! Happy Swallowing! - in Va.
