Hello :

I always read your posts with great interest. I feel so bad for

you. I cannot imagine how frustrated you and must be. I wish

I were one of the " smart ones " who could give you excellent advice.

Unfortunately, I am just a VERY sympathetic friend who is praying for

a victory for you. I still have the prayer vase going. I will again

slip name in for medical help and yours in for continued

strength and guidence. I am very impressed at your dilligence and I

am sure that is grateful.

My prayers are with you.

stay on it BECAUSE HE HAS NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER MY HUSBAND. I was so

upset by this, that I was almost angry with my husband. It is so

hard to be the one watching your loved one get worse!

We decided to start with the thoracic surgeon that his local GI

recommended out of Beaumont Hospital. Using what I've learned from

the group, we've decided to hit this doc with lots of questions (i.e.

Have you treated any other DES patients? How many? What were the

outcomes?, etc.) I'm not expecting this one to have seen too many

DES patients, but maybe this will lead us to a surgeon who has. In

the meantime, I'll keep doing research (starting with this PubMed

article) to look for other surgeons and/or treatments.

Kathie,

Thank you for your kind words AND prayers (I know they do help)!!

I'm so grateful for being able to vent and find support (emotional and

otherwise) from this group and it's many caring people!

.

We understand your frustration. My family went through hell too being

on the side lines. I was glad I was sick and not them. My daughter is

having troubles at the moment and I am finding it tough to cope with

my own stress' and hers too. I wish I could take it away from her.

Be strong for your husband and I hope you find a good surgeon and

options for him.

Regards
