Guest guest Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 , the absolute worst hours of my battle with A were the first 12 after surgery...they won't LET you vomit because of the area the surgery is done on. I had a reaction to the meds and was very, very nauseated. Please tell your doctor beforehand that you are sensitive to the anesthesia and they can put some Zophran or another strong anti-nausea drug in your IV. Unfortunately, in my post-operative haze, I kept hitting the button for more meds and it took hours for me to realize what the problem was. Know it going into surgery should help you tremendously.
