I figure I have been dealing with this disease for over 15 years. So it looks like I am right in the middle.

Is that a bad thing? I mean I am 34 and I do not think I am old. In fact my mom keeps telling me I need to grow up....lol

Some symptoms since June 2003 -- Doc said I probably " had it " for three years

before

Hi Steve,

Actually it has been 46 years since I first began having problems until my

esophagectomy in 1993. I still have the residual effects of Achalasia with

GERD and with a smaller capacity than pre esophagectomy I cannot eat what

most would consider a regular size meal, but smaller ones and more often. So

with the residual effects and at age 72 I have had achalasia for 58 years.

But absolutely no SPASM. My story is message number 1386 if you would like
