Depends on your size but many of us feel uncomfortable w/o an undergarment. I didn't know, and didn't feel well enough to go get one right after surgery. I had VATS and one of the wounds is right there. I wore my regular one with an underwire for a few days. Now I have a raised scar. Not sure if that caused it or because it was where there is cartilage. I'm also very fair and scar easily.The wounds itch off and on. I would recommend a sports bra, and possibly those Mederma or whatever patches if they are in a spot where your bra rubs. Okay ladies, don't go bragging that you just went without, some of us just aren't ready for the public without one.Glad everyone's surgery seems to be going well.
