Guest guest
Dear , Just a husband comment, not directed at , but just as a comment about men, EXCEPT the men here, especially and , WHY!!! are the wives responsible for our kids and our husbands????? Meant with humor, I've been told by some of my men clients to cease and desist with my male bashing jokes, but just couldn't miss the opportunity to comment.... So dear , I sent Dr. Fuller an email, he usually answers unless I ask him about my son's ear infections, so I'll let you know. But don't be scared to call him... really.... even though he is in Beverly Hills he grew up on a farm in Wyoming, did haying just like any other farm kid, including me, but I was in Montana. He isn't threatening and is not a Beverly Hills type doctor. He seems to prefer phone calls. He has a cute little stutter (Man I hope he doesn't read this.) so he really isn't threatening. I think he usually is around patients with terminal lung cancer and emphysema so this esophagus stuff is more " fun " for him because he can make such a positive change in our quality of life and it isn't a terminal disease. Seems like he is more tickled than we are when we come back and can eat again. If he is mean to you, tell me and I'll straighten him out! I don't think he is unique however, except that he does VATS. The benefit of achalasia is that doctors do like us, if they have the expertise because it is such a miserable disease, but if the treatment works the patients are sooooo thrilled and appreciative. We have to be more enjoyable as patients than cancer patients. I think many surgeons will call back without having to go for a personal consult. If they don't call back then it is their loss because we are the most fun and entertaining patients they will ever have. His phone number is: 310 652 0530. , you might also try typing in VATS and the major hospitals in your area in my favorite website, that Pub Med thing. VATS surgeons are in the chest disease departments or even cardiac departments. I think traditionally the gi doctors referred to the laproscopic departments instead of the thoracic departments because of the minimally invasive surgery. VATS is the same thing, just in the thoracic area, above the diaphragm. So........ wives, who have been married a little while, do you want to be on my male bashing joke email list? I've greatly curtailed it because it is a little negative, but sometimes they are pretty funny. Again, the men here are excluded because they are special. And , it is wonderful you are helping your husband. I would probably do the same thing, because my husband would just give up and be miserable and probably complain in his own sweet and annoying way. The male bashing jokes are for the unknown others. (Really I don't have an email list, fooled ya.) Sandy in So Cal
