Louise,

WELCOME to the group!!!! You must be a wealth of information...what an

asset you will be to the list! My son is 5 1/2 and was diagnosed about 1

1/2 years ago. Are your other children a source of support with your son?

Welcome!

Mom to Tim age 5 1/2 and his two brothers

Hi Louise,

Welcome aboard! It is such a pleasure already reading your replies.

This gives me comfort. I'm looking forward hearing your experiences

with the journey you've been through and the now. I can already tell

you are a grand person as you've been a career mother/grandmother

and of course the special challenges that you've had to deal with.

Thanks for coming aboard. Many hugs to you!

Prayers that will continue with the best care possible and with

God willing always having his family & friend's support as you all

have given him. Together we shall learn. : )

God Bless,

Irma,15,DS/ASD

Guess what I just learned .........

..... Frozen Grapes are a No No .....

This is the first thing that got so stuck it would not move up or

down! I thought since they are frozen, and you can take a small bite

(about 1/4 of a grape), it would work! W R O N G!!! I choked and

finally, with MUCH difficulty, brought it (them) up. I had eaten

about 6 grapes ... 1/4 at a time. I guess the bulk of them is what

stuck! It scared me to death!

I had my myotomy on March 16, and can eat almost everything (some

minor stuckage, but livable and water helps) This was a problem!

The only major problem that I have is the spasms. Some times lately,

I am noticing the dreaded white foam back ... but not always!

Oh Well, Guess I need to live grapeless!

Anyone else have this problem?

Welcome Bridget. Guess you can't have the grapes in the liquid

form and I can't have them in the solid form! What a pair!

I'm currently in the process of adopting a dog for competition agility. I've

been training agility for about 6-7 years but didn't have a competitor of my

own. (My son showed our first agility dog until he retired --dog, not son-- and

that dog just past away last month.) So I will need to do sprints and quick

turns to keep up with a good dog!

Rosemarie:I compete in agility too!! I just came back from USDAA nationals... I am trying to qualify my younger dog for AKC nationals (older dog is qualified). I love it - both my dogs and I have a fitness program :)judy in DCTo: exercisevideos Sent: Thu, October 28, 2010 8:14:10 AMSubject: Re: Still learning
