Guest guest
I've been reading what every1's been writing about choking etc. I found that when I sleep on my left side I find it quite difficult to swallow spit. Swallowing solids or gassy drinks when lying down is also not very easy these days. Has any1 tried using Bisolvin Linctus to clear phlegm? It works like a bomb for me...I take an 11 year olds dosage which is 1 tablespoon/day...normally after 3 days or so the phlegm's dry. I also take the flu vac on a regular basis and for the past 2 years haven't seen a hospital or IV cos I didn't get pneumonia like I used to...a slight cold is all I have to contend with. Oh...something else which helps me...I take 2 multivitaments (the chewable kind...kiddies dosage) every morning! Fionna Re: Choking Meg - My lungs used to fill up with phlegm because I have allergies. Over a decade ago, I started taking Claritin (not Claritin D!) and it dried up those nasty secretions quite well. Regular Claritin is just an antihistamine. Claritin D also has a decongestant. Decongestants seem bad for me because when they loosen up the phlegm, it all drains into my lungs. When I get bronchitis, I still experience that phlegm-filled lung thing. It's very scary!
