Peggy,

That's great! I never realized there were cook-books like that

around. I may have to check into them. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for sharing about these books. They sound pretty useful! I never knew such books existed. I learn a lot from this website.

Thanks to all who sent websites with these books. I have gone

through and printed out the pages and am compiling my own

cookbook.

When you reach my age there are many things that can happen

to you that might cause you to be unable to communicate. I

don't know how much of my ranting about achalasia my children

have remembered. I will let them know that this cookbook exist

and hopefully they will remember this in the event something

unforeseen happens to me. I have a sister who is in a nursing

home in the last stages of alzheimers. She can only get down

liquids and this makes me more aware of what can happen to

us.

Am I being a pessimist? Nope, just a realist. Right now I am

eating very well but just planning for the future along with my

will and advanced directive for healthcare. :)

You are welcome. Some of the members here have spoken highly of the Vitamix blenders for making smoothies and soups.

There is a Vitamix users group at:

vitamix-connection/

In their database section are recipes you can make with the Vitamix.

There are probably many others in the message archives.

Notan,

Thanks for the link to the vitamix group. I didn't know there was

one.

Since I've had mine for a long time, I am interested in it's many

uses

and it is a very good product.
