why would a GI recommend botox?

Simple answers.....

Because they can do it themselves.

Because they don't see enough A and have not studied it enough to know it is not a great treatment.

Because they were educated several years ago when it was a more viable option and saw it done in med. school.

RUN, RUN, RUN....when they say botox...RUN. Cindi

.....Or because some people are not candidates for surgery and botox

may give them some quality of life back even if it is temporary and

has to be repeated. Virtually every resource on A still lists botox

as a treatment option. Not every GI that recommends botox is lazy,

sloppy, misinformed or greedy. I know that many of you feel surgery is

the ONLY treatment option but for some it is not an option so

ridiculing and deriding any option or choice that may work for those

folks is insulting. The simple answer is not necessarily the best or

only answer.
