Guest guest
I had my myotomy 1 year ago. I was eating terrifically for about 7 months post surgery, then my ease of eating deteriorated somewhat for a little while. Now, over the last couple of months, eating has once again been just about as good as post-surgery. Anyone else have similar experiences of this 'cyclical ' nature of achalasia ? I getting depressed when I read that some of you need to go in again for surgery of some sort after a myotomy. Has anyone on this board had a myotomy, and been significantly better for many years to come without any other intervention ? Sometimes worried about the future, although I remember to be happy with the 'now ' .... from Windsor, Ontario, Canada P.S. Currently training for the Ironman Triathlon in Penticton, B.C. Aug 28 .
