:) Why did you take no pain meds after surgery?

It sounds like you were only hospitalized for one day, is that so? It

sounds awefully short.

AND, what is your name. I haven't been able to catch it. :D

I don't think you are referring to me, but I did not take any pain meds after

surgery - at all

and I was released the next day after the follow up barium swallow was good and

I could

show the nurses that I could tolerate a full liquid diet! The only rx I am

taking now is

liquid zantac 150 mg 2 x day for 2 weeks. I was given liquid codiene - but I

haven't used

it . Its been 1 week and I feel like I am getting back to normal - actually I

haven't felt this

good in 6 months.

It was you I was asking :D

Thanx for the response. You must be very healthy to begin with, or

perhaps you have a very high pain threshold? My boyfriend seems to

think that I do, so we'll see.

Thanx for the feedback :)

My name is Rob. Yes, I am fairly healthy other than the achalasia - I have

always worked

out regularly and was in good shape - thats why the 20 lbs I lost prior to

surgery scared

me! Anyway, I did have jaw surgery to correct my bite 8 months ago and compared

to that

the lap procedure was easy. With the jaw surgery I took 2 weeks off work and

with this

only 1 week!
