Guest guest
Hello Carolyn and Cameron: Up and around ... YEAH! How is Cameron feeling? Is he still on IV? Are they giving you a day to go home yet? You are both still in our thoughts and prayers! Sounds like you are on the high road now. Best wishes to you both. Guest guest
Has he made a list of favorite foods for when he gets home? Starting w/ the softer foods of course. He might find that entertaining, maybe help him feel it was worth it. I bet he already has tho huh? I think I probably would have it prepped & in my boyfriends hands before going under What troopers, both Cameron & his mom. Bes wishes, -Jess > > > > Well folks. we are still here, did a lap around the short > corridor. No liquid yet.. have to wait till tuesday. > > > > But he got the catheter out today.. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn-and Cameron I just happened to see some of your posts I wish you guys best of luck not sure if you've seen any of my posts but my daughter who is 8 just had the Myotomy done a week and a half ago. They never gave her a catheter- she had to get up and go to the potty...that was interesting the first time...the morphine helped. We walked the halls numerous times as well- she was only in 3 days...I haven't read all your posts-not sure if there were complications or anything..but it is amazing how kids bounce back-especially after how sick she was. I feel your exhaustion too-sleeping in the hospital just doesn't happen- is it me or do they seem to check vitals more at night? and unfortunately they don't give any of the good drugs to the parents (ha!)I was exhausted way before that cuz I was paranoid my kid was going to aspirate at night at home way before the diagnosis... Just thought I'd let you know I was thinking of you and wish you the best...Selena > > Well folks. we are still here, did a lap around the short corridor.
