Guest guest
Thank you for your reply, . I have a feeling mine are going to be temporary fixes too. I am sure I will have my E removed within 5 years for sure. Not looking forward to it at all but if it gives me my life back....well, it has to be done. And maybe I can even have a second baby after the esophagectomy. But I dont want to get my hopes up. (allthough that's pretty difficult with raging hormones !! LOL).All this uncertainty......it is driving me crazy !!! :-(Hugs, Biancka Having dilations after my heller. Yep, I have to go back to the hospital for dilations. The results of my manometry weren't too bad but they weren't good either. The pressure is just too high and according to the doctor I spoke (another one than the one who did my Heller) it is the cause of the choke/something stuck in my throat-feeling. So, back to the hospital for 5 days. Yes, I am going to stay there for 5 days. Dilations will be done on monday, wednesday and friday. I am really sad & terrified at the same time (what happened back in July is still very fresh in my memory). I just hope that this will be the last thing for a while. I just have had it with hospitals. He also said that my E will eventually have to be removed. I have a severe case of A. Hmmm, wasnt too happy to hear this but it wasnt the first time a doc mentioned it. He just wants to wait as long as possible because I am still young (uhm, isnt my young age good for recovery ?!?!?). I dont know when I have to go to the hospital for the dilations. He asked me if I found my current situation acceptable and I said no so he filled out the forms right away. I'll let you all know when I hear something. Thank you again for all the wonderful support from this amazing group. You really are a great bunch of people !!! Hugs,Bianckap.s. anyone in this group who has had dilations after their Heller ???? Just want to know if there's a chance of improvement (allthough I am pretty negative about it at the moment seeing my A is severe/really bad).
