The worst pain you have ever experienced. Hi all, I learned something new yesterday. I have been having some severe pain and problems. Yesterday when I went to the doctor he told me the source. I take Prevacid 30mgx2 and apparently it is widely known (to all but me) that ANY antacids taken consistently will cause kidney stones over time. So I have kidney stones, or so he believes. We will see what tests taken yesterday show. Until then I am living on prayer (with a little help from Tylenol) The biggies is I can not stop taking the Prevacid....The upside is, I don't need to take extra calcium...LOL

Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid and prevent kidney stones when we take the level of antacid most of us do?
