Guest guest
Richie - Great that things are moving forward! I was in the hosp. for 3 days post-op. Had a little trouble breathing. Total recovery though was still about 2 weeks. Not bad overall. My only suggestion is to do ALL the breathing stuff they tell you!!! in WI - I have also been told Mayo clinic is great. I went to Froedert in Milwaukee. Dr. Blom there is also quite experienced in the surgery, and GI Dr. Massey works closely with him. Good Luck!!! Kim - I know you won't see this for a bit, but Happy Surgery Day today!! Carolyn - I pray for you and you son that he gets the best care possible. 'A' really sucks, but we can learn to live with it. Its easy for me to say now, but I know if my son was diagnosed with something like this, I would hate it more for him than I do for me having it. I know a little something about childhood illnesses - I started having symptoms of a slow developing cancer when I was 4 - and kids really do have a way of handling these things!! Biancka and Penny - Sorry to hear about the bad days. I really hope things start/continue to improve. Toomuchclutter - Thanks for the laugh(re: holiday diet)!!!!! Everyone else(Tirams, , Doug, Lori, Sherry, Dawn, Gayle, , , Ginny, Liz, in Va, and I know I'm missing some(sorry!)): It may not mean much, but I do pray for all in this group. I work for a Catholic non-profit organization and have asked our Priests to remember all the wonderful people here in their prayers also. I believe that no matter what a persons religious beliefs, it just doesn't hurt to have more people caring for us! Merry Christmas to All!!!
