Guest guest
G I was lucky enough to have medicaid at the time....even though I had to fight to get them to pay for an out of state doctor...that was a nightmare. It took me 2 months to get it all to go through...I actually got canceled 2 times for my surgery...I thought someone out there had a death wish for me. I was told that TCC doesn have some options you can also make a plea to the surgeon and everyone else involved to donate time for your surgery. That was another option they had told me about up there. My surgery ended up costing around 60,000.00, there is no way i could have paid for it. The insurance I have now through work told me that they would deny me if i went up there with out a fight...so i guess i'm in for another fight if i need to go back. The doc around here are good for gerd and stuff like that but only see about 2 cases of A a year. Not good odds when you have complications. Guest guest
Sorry, I'm not familiar with any qualified surgeons in Michigan. I know there was someone who had surgery in the Detroit area (don't remember which hospital) that posted to the group in the past, but haven't seen them around lately.
