Guest guest Posted August 13, 2004 Report Share Posted August 13, 2004 Hi everyone !!! I've been home for 3 weeks now and things are just fine. Today we went to the mall for the first time since I got home and it was great !! I felt like a normal person again !!! :-) I am also joining Edwin & Jasper when they are going to the grocery store. It does take a while before you get home because lots of people want to know how I am doing. Usually it takes about 1 hour before we get home. The grocery store is only a 3 minute walk away from our house :-) LOL My eating is going just fine. I have gained almost 4 pounds since I got home :-) My body loves my new & healthy diet. LOL I do still need water to 'force' my food down but after I have eaten I dont have to struggle with it anymore !!! I dont have spasms or chest pains and I can almost sleep flat again. I do have my bedhead elevated a little bit. Guess that's a mindset thing ! LOL If my A stays like this for the rest of my life.......well, then I would be one happy person ! On August 24th I have to go back to the hospital to talk to my surgeon. Not sure when I will have my barium swallow but I am not looking forward to that. I hated my first barium test. Brrrrrr. I do have to say that when I drink cold milk.........I feel it in my stomach like almost immediatly !!! Great feeling but my stomach didnt really like it at first ! :-) Got to go....Oprah is on !!
