Hi ,

Seems there are a few children with the problem! I had an email from

Sue (Stephi's mum) as well. My son Stefan is 15, (16 in January), by

the way, and has had chest pain for one year. Achalasia was

diagnosed by Barium swallow, in May, and he had the lap Heller's in

July. Still gets chest pain, and swallowing problems, though coping

pretty well. Seems Mr Haddad is one of the few in UK to do the

surgery. We are still at the 'experimental' stage I guess-trying

different foods,drinks to see what works best for the pain and the

swallowing.
