Hello Jo

In reference to your comment:

I'll let you know what it is like after Frances makes landfall.

Jo, please tell us you don't plan on staying to ride out this

storm. Please know that my home is open to you and your

family if you need a place to go. I am sending to you in

a private email my address and phone number.

My prayers will be with you.

Hugs

--- Maggie,

Thank you soooooo much for your very kind offer. Unfortunately, it

is too late to go anywhere at this point. My husband and I rode out

in 1992. It was devastating, but we survived and I have faith

that the Lord has us in His Hands and we will be fine. I have to show

my children how to cope with this scenario because life throws you

curves, as we all know well with our " A. " Thank you so much for your

kindness; it is truly appreciated.

I do think that we are given only what we can handle. I read a post

here recently about being grateful that you only have " A " (Joy's?); ,

I feel the same way. That is probably why I see things through rose

colored glasses and try not to let things get me down too much.

If I let fear and sadness rule my life, what is the point? Also as

far as I am concerned, all of my belongings can go--except for things

with truly sentimental value--pictures, etc., Everything else is

replaceable. Like I've said before, nothing counts but God, family,

country. Gee, I sound like a political billboard!

It is hard living here because of situations like this--but if we ask

folks in earthquake heavy areas, or places where F5 tornadoes are

commonplace--well, I'm sure they'd agree it just comes with the

territory. I truly, truly thank you for your kind offer. We have

prepared for the worse, and wish for the best.

Jo - just to let you know I am [raying for your safety. We watch the weather patterns and see the destruction of hurricanes on telly but have no notion of what it is really like to be there. God Bless !

Hurricane Frances and "A" spasms

Hi all,Just wanted to say hi. Thought I would post a note about the spasms under the effects of significant stress. Well, definitely a lot. They had all but disappeared 3 months post-op, but as of now I've had at least 2 to 3 a day--they disappear when I am rested.Just wanted to share. I'll let you know what it is like after Frances makes landfall. Wish us luck in "Paradise"-- :)Jo from South Florida :)
