Guest guest
Hi Sherry: Since all testimonials that I have read in these group sites I guess the best option is surgery, mine was not complete success but I did not had any complication during procedure. I only was in the Hospital for 2 days and the recovery was fast, the surgery that I got was laparaendoscopic that are 5 small cuts in the tummy. After surgery I have gotten 2 ditatation.Since last dilatation (one week ago) I feel great, I have eating everything and all looks like back to normal. I just wait to keep me like that at least for a long time. I am pretty sure your condition will improve with surgery, at least for a while like in my case, and then get from time to time a dilatation. Try to be optimistic all time, and eat nutritional supplements I am drinking ENSURE it is really good, it comes in different flavors and it help you to keep you strong and to avoid loosing weight. Please be in contact I would like to know waht CC will tell you on Aug 17th. I hope you can fine some relief soon, My best regards, Your new friend Liliana Mexico City > Hi welcome to the group. My name is Sherry.I live in southern Ohio.I > just found this group a couple weeks ago.It has been the > greatest. This problem is not common. Most Drs don't know alot about > it.I was diagnosed about 6 months after I started having problems at > Cleveland Clinic about 15 yrs ago.I lost 100# in 5-6 months. It was a > good thing I was overweight at that time.I couldn't even swallow my > own saliva. My hair fell out.I looked like someone on chemo.I've had > dialations done but no surgeries.I have an appoint at CC Aug 17th.I > am going to go for the surgery if they think that is my best > option. It has been pretty bad for the last few weeks.I am eating > soups, liquids and put other foods in food processer.I drink lots of > water when I eat it helps to push the food down. This is really a > great group. How is your swallowing now? Guest guest
Hola Liliana, Yo soy de Guatemala. It's exciting to meet a neighbor. I live in Philadelphia, PA now. We moved here when I was five although I travel back often as I have family there still. I agree with you that it is a sucky thing to get but made much worse because all the traditional spanish food is spicy and of course a big no no for us. I miss los frijoles the mosts. I could start a list of stuff that I would love to eat! I ate guacamole (sin tortillas por supuesto) the other day at my moms. It was wonderful! I'm having a bad food day today so I could talk about food for days on end. I had my heller June 30. It was my first procedure for the A. This was my first week back to work. I did not miss it. But I am glad to be back to " normal " I am still slowly getting back on solids. Anyway, wanted to say hola. Keep smiling, Angels are watching Lisbeth
