Hi ,

Glad to see you post. :) I'm so glad you father was able to have this

procedure done and that he was able to come home today! I had no idea that

Drs could even do this so I'm amazed!

Take care,

H.

Sorry to you, all my friends here. I've been in a funk and didn't

want to bring everyone down. It was amazingly GREAT seeing a

posting from Biancka! I'm sooooo happy she is home! It really made

my day. Anyway, I'm here and I'm okay. Just been feeling a bit

blue and a bit moody (guess the moody is me getting in touch with my

feminine side, what do you think Biancka? hehehehehe). I'll talk

to you all soon.

Love Ya's!

Mike (MoodyMike) :(

Mike,

That's okay.

I am scheduled for surgery at The Cleveland Clinic(sounds so imposing!) next Thursday, the 5th of August. I am getting realllllly nervous, scared, and hope it is the right thing to do.

The reason I say that, is that, unlike most of you all, I dont have achalasia causing my problem. My problem is a wrap that was done too tight, and then not revised much at all two months later. My current GI here, and the doc at CC both said that some people with a LES as mine, might not be so bothered by it or be able to swallow. But Dr Vaezi said to me, " but you are still symptomatic, so here's what we can do to fix it"-

And then he went on to talk dilitation or surgery.

The surgeon seemed to think I did need surgery to "fix" my wrap.

So now, I do want to be able to swallow again, but I am now second guessing myself, and hoping , really really hoping, that I am doing the right thing.

The surgery is next Thursday, and I'll have to leave next Tuesday night after work.

I made reservations at a hotel for myself and my college age son and hs age daughter,

Then the next week they will have to make the 5 hr drive to come back up and get me out of the hospital and stay with me about two days before I come back home.

Oh, I just hope this surgery is the right thing and I hope it works.

Sorry to go on for so long.

Thanks for letting me vent about my insecurities.

Jan from Northern KY
