How long did it take for you to get your first appt? Are they getting all your tests done in one day? They are scheduling all mine on the one day (yeah!). Anyway, hubby is clearing his schedule and my first one is so early and I have nearly a 4 hour drive so we will take a hotel room. Are you getting a hotel room? Any suggestions? Do let us know how all your tests work out. I am getting very anxious just knowing someone who is going. That seems very weird...but it really hits close to home. We are thinking of you.'Joy Joy, I made this appointment about a month and a half ago. I was not warned about having any testing done for this appointment, but just in case, I did reserve a room at the Cleveland Suites Hotel, supposedly right there on the Cleveland Clinic campus on Euclid Ave. I am getting anxious, and will let you know how it came out. I guess I'll just be glad if they dont say it's all in my head. God Bless, Jan in Northern KY
Guest guest
I agree it has somehow linked to a hormonal cycle. I can be in the middle of a good spell and behaving really good (in terms of what I've been eating) and around the same time each month everything acts up worse. It is definitely cyclical. But then maybe it's just A that's cyclical. Lisbeth > Has anyone considered or done studies to see if achalasia symptoms > might be related to the hormone cycle (women)? Guest guest
So, at least I am not the only one that experiences a variance in my symptoms. They are not bad all the time. I thought I was going crazy in that sometimes I seemed fine and then out of the blue I was this other person with this monstrous problem. I was just trying to link it to something and it did seem to run in some sort of cycle. Glad to hear someone else is cyclical. Joy > I agree it has somehow linked to a hormonal cycle. Guest guest
Jan, you are not the only one who falls apart at the seams at going to this sort of situation. I am normally quite a cheeky perky old lady but when I go for tests they look at me and say "poor dear" because I just fold into myself and look the part !! If I have to go anywhere out of the ordinary these days I get quite panic stricken - so hang in there girl - It will be OK! Joan Johannesburg South Africajpearse@...
