Hi Cindi,

I also get light headed but then I am also so many anti-hypertensive pills (X3) which can do that, plus Lanzor for the acid, and that has me reeling till I get used to it and still gets me some time. It could be iron - try some kiddie vitamin and mineral syrup - it is quick acting and easy to swallow.

As for the Doc's well they are taught that they are God's representative on earth and many feel threatened if they can't play the role. However that said, when you do find one that is not only prepared to listen to you but actually knows what you are talking about it is better than discovering gold !! Some can honestly tell you they know nothing about it, but are prepared to find out and listen to you. The ones that get to me are the ones that either won't admit ignorance or are not prepared to make the time to listen. There is a small ready reference book given to (I guess) but most GP's by the drug company who print it - I have seen it on their shelves, called "The Merk Manual". [it costs a fortune to buy. I bought one when I retired so as to update my knowledge and have an up-to-date reference book.] In it there is a whole chapter on gastrointestinal conditions and a basic cover of oesophageal conditions, including Achalasia, Barrett's Oesophagus and Gerd. So they have no real excuse - if they get the book that is.

Having suffered at the hands of some pretty insensitive representatives of god I am almost as touchy on the subject as Debbi !

Docs on A forum & response to Pete

Now we are going to have to call you "Pothole Pete!". Just kidding!

I do think it is great that Dr. Richter is at least interested in the forum. I also know that a lot of docs stay away from places like this because of the doctor-bashing that goes on. I know that 99% of the group doesn't, but I'm sure it can be frustrating to see your name or that of a colleague in print. Or, even just the profession you are in being bashed. Why expose oneself to negativity?

Think about all the great docs that are helping us out! I have dealt with a number of physicians who have little info on A....the key is to keep searching until you find the one who does! We are ultimately responsible for our own health.

Cindi, feeling very lightheaded today (does this happen to any of you? Maybe my iron is low).

At my house, this was consistant with yeast in the head...it seems the

kombachu works on the yeast and that happens when you drink it....just

my two cents.

Ronni :-), what do you mean by yeast IN the head? You mean there is a bread

starter bubbling in my brain and makes me feel wonky? ;-)

KT does have an energising effect on the body system without a doubt.

That's why I have a bottle of Kombucha attached to my bike when I am

travelling, especially before pumping up them mighty hills.

You are right, Yeast is renowned as energiser, and the way the body

chemically absorbs it may be akin to getting a certain kick ......

not unlike first stage of alcohol consumption.

Kombucha is rated as non-alcoholic drink, though, no more alcoholic than

orange juice, so don't fret ;-)

As for me and my house we look deeply into the Kombucha glass/bottle! ;-)

Margret:-) (on a bright and chilly morning!)
