Guest guest
Congratulations Genia! What fantastic news! I can't imagine your frustration when they brought you all the wrong food The worst part is that they probably got the impression you were a total bitch for complaining lol. The pain is incredible, but you won't believe how much better you'll be next week! Can you believe I'm still numb right from my rib cage around my back after 12 years. It's better than the pain though. I'm so happy you are able to drink without gurgling and everyone staring. Just take it slow and easy and you'll do great. Watch some good movies and don't lift anything! All the best, . Guest guest
Genia, I did have a similar problem with the dietary staff. Apart from the soft stuff I also could not have any milk and that now really threw them. I got yogurt with every meal and complan. The juice was so sour I spat out the first mouthful. Every day the dietician would come to discuss my food an everyday it would be a disaster anyway. Just as well I was not hungry then. I had actually taken some instant oats sachets with me and got the kitchen maid to make it up with hot water. The final day a real smart alec came. I was fast asleep and he said he had chicken a la king on the menu could he just liquidse it? I sleepily considered this and though it would be nice - hadn't had it for years - I clean forgot that the sauce is made of milk ! When I got home hubby was in charge. I had left him a recipe for an egg sauce. He misread the recipe and instead of 2 table spoons of olive oil put in 2 serving spoons !!!! Well --- that was the end of any constipation ! I barely made the toilet! The Ward manager was one of my ex-students and she became so embarrassed she used to disappear when my doctor came to do rounds! Glad you are doing well at home ! Guest guest
Ohh, that is funny. It almost makes you wonder if the dietary staff contacted your husband (ha-ha).
