I had pleurisy once and that was extremely painful every time I took a breath. Gotta breathe, right? What do you do about it? I never had it before, but I've had a cough since about 2 months ago, at least that long. I finally went to have a chest xray and they said it looked like I had a " Pleural Effusion " . I guess in other words that is fluid in between the lining of the lung (outside) and the chest wall. Well, when I went to the pulmonologist, I brought all of my reports from my thoracic myotomy, when they deflated my lung, and the pulmonologist just dismissed it as my diaphragm being moved up a little.
