Guest guest
In my case, I only have trouble with coughing when I'm aspirating (which thankfully I haven't done in years now.) Debbi I know the coughing thing has been discussed on this board before, but am wondering just how many of us have this aggravating cough? What do you do about it? I never had it before, but I've had a cough since about 2 months ago, at least that long. I finally went to have a chest xray and they said it looked like I had a "Pleural Effusion". I guess in other words that is fluid in between the lining of the lung (outside) and the chest wall. Well, when I went to the pulmonologist, I brought all of my reports from my thoracic myotomy, when they deflated my lung, and the pulmonologist just dismissed it as my diaphragm being moved up a little. Should I seek other treatment or does that sound right? Will I suffer this cough for ever? UGH! Doctors can be so frustrating. The reason I ask this now is because I see Steve has emphysema. in MI
